As I enjoy the beautiful blooms of Coel cristata, I wonder what other genera
could be crossed with it for any number of desirable results, one being
fragrance. I find that there was an opinion in a Bulletin in '94 that Coelogyne
might "accept a date" from genera such as Pleione, Pholidota, and Dendrochilum.
Not just with Coel but in general, how do we know which genera are compatible
for crossing? Trial and error, from a chart, a text or Wildcatt?
