Hello (almost) everyone!
Thanks for the question and answer for the stoloniferus Paphs. Contained
within that answer was the answer for my question - What will happen to the
new growths above the medium? I'm sorry to see they will die without growing
new roots ... I was hoping they would receive nourishment from the parent
plant. I have never seen any Paph growing in the wild and wonder how the wild
plants avoid killing themselves? <G>

I am unsure if the statement "$20,000 dollars for a Potinara" was perhaps a
typo?

I haven't posted for a long time, because I'm content with the few plants I
have, and they are growing well for me. I hope to be at the Philadelphia
Flower Show in March, and am looking forward to seeing all the plants there.
Perhaps Philadelphia could host a World Orchid Conference someday?
They are hosting the World Narcotics Anonymous Convention in 2011, I
believe.

If you are new here remember many orchids are no harder to grow than other
'houseplants', they are just different. Mine are on an eastern facing
windowsill, without any fancy (or plain equipment) and they do just fine.
However,
I am usually <g> careful to pick orchids that accept those conditions. And
as your experience grows, so does your ability so be patient and don't give up!

Have a great Day!
