That was before my time, but as I recall, it never really got off the ground, 
or lasted only a short while. It turned out to be entirely too cumbersome. 
Even today, with computers, it would be impractical. Trying to keep track of 
registered grexes is bad enough.
Awarded orchids are not really registered, in the sense of registered 
cultivars. They are recorded in the awards records. Each awarding system has 
its own 
records. An attempt was made 30 years ago to archive the combined awards of 
the American & European systems, but that didn't last either. It would be nice 
if some enterprising organization put together all the award records. Maybe 
Alex can do it eventually. He has incorporated the CSA awards into OrchidWiz.
