The old Ed's Mix does the trick and no scratching necessary. One pint of
rubbing alcohol, 50%-70%. one pint regular 409 in a gallon of water.
spray thoroughly. It is a contact killer so does require repeats because
it doesn't kill the eggs. It does penetrate under the scales and kill
effectively. Three day intervals would do it. I have a moderate
greenhouse, 8x20, and this controls all sorts of nasties.
