Jim and Emily Clarkson of Florida have an excellent and simple, stand-alone, MS Access-based system they have been using for years at many of the south Florida shows, including the Miami show. I believe they will make it available to you and others upon request. They have it set up to print gorgeous judging worksheets AND plant tags. The Clarksons are very active in the Florida West Coast Orchid Society and I believe you can contact them through the website. I don't have their direct contact information. Perhaps others on this list have an email address.
We are using something similar that is web-based that requires little or no input on show setup day. Exhibitors classify their own plants and enter the information prior to setup day on any PC with internet access. The system generates judging sheets and results can be entered as quickly as the judging sheets are handed in. The National Capital Orchid Society just used it this past weekend. You can see the results at www.plantregistration.com under "Award Summaries". There are more results left to enter so the summaries are not yet complete but you'll get the idea. Let me know what you think. We might make this available to additional orchid societies after the first of the year.
