Dear OGDers, At 2pm on Saturday 3rd November, Dr Kingsley Dixon, from Kings Park Botanic Garden, Perth, Australia, will be giving a lecture on Orchids Down Under and Underground to mark the launch the new charity Orchid Conservation International. The event is open to all and will take place at the Jodrell Lecture Theatre at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Light refreshments will follow.
Dr Dixon is an internationally renowned orchid expert and orchid conservationist, and an excellent and very entertaining speaker to a wide range of audiences so his lecture promises to be well worth a trip to Kew. Tickets will cost £10 on the door and will be fully deductible against the price of 2008 membership to Orchid Conservation International. 2008 membership rates are as follows: £20 adults, £35 family, £30 joint (2 adults at one address), £10 junior/student/senior citizens.
