It's all sorts of muck. For example, Caldo Bordelaise (B. soup) in Latin America is copper sulphate plus sulphur (often plus suphuric acid); but most commercial mixes are now copper oxychloride plus copper sulphate plus - sometimes copper oxides finely dispersed (e.g. kocide) plus or minus sulphur and with added surfactants, anti-foamers and so on. My point was that elemental copper does not go away except through flushing, tends to accumulate and can be phytotoxic.
