The register... a record of all [if registered !]... orchid hybrids 
cultivated across the globe - the first was in 1854.

The register is now based in Stapleford.
Registrar Julian Shaw said: "There are about 130 thousand registered..."
More than 3,000 new hybrids are added annually... the ones people choose to 
register.
"On a quiet day I might get one or two [registrations], or in a busy day, 
over a hundred. The most I've had in a month is 500," says Julian."
