Hi Cynthia-- A good start of course would be to Google on thin section "something or other" to see what comes up. Or if you could be a bit more specific it might help to stir some of our collective brain cells to activity.
Just guessing, I am wondering if it simply taking thinly sliced sections of nodes as explant material. If so, I think that the book Plants From Test Tubes has a nice pictorial of the process.
