Joe Kunisch, a longtime grower from Pittsford, a love of orchids developed 40 years ago... "It was either getting a psychiatrist or growing orchids," said Kunisch, who once ran a plastics manufacturing plant in Gates, where he said the stress was overwhelming. At a seminar in Florida many years ago, a friend took him to an orchid show, and he liked them so much, he purchased two plants.
