My research on the Internet suggests Oncidium cebolleta grows best mounted.
Mine came potted in a rough bark mix. It is a young plant, three leaves,
each 4 inches long. As a windowsill grower, I would prefer to keep growing
it potted. But I read it is suceptible to rot - so do I better mount it?
Daily watering of mounted orchids will be a problem during vacations. How
long can a mounted Oncidium ceboletta survive without being watered?

If it is kept outside during summer, exposed to the rain, I suppose mounting
it is a must.

As a third option, somewhere in between mounted an potted, I could switch it
to be potted in clay pebbles (lecaton) as an airy medium which retains
little water.

I live in germany, temperature zone 7b.
