Can Tho (VNA) – Siam Orchids Co (www.siam-orchids.com) from Thailand will join Vietnam ’s Refrigerator Engineering Enterprise (REE) and Saigon Agriculture Company (SAGRI) to build a 100 acre world class botanical garden in Can Tho City. The three companies will invest 150 billion VND (9.3 million USD) in the 50ha garden, the largest in the Mekong Delta. To be completed in 2011, the garden will breed, produce and display Orchids, tropical flowers and ornamental plants native to Vietnam and other countries.
