It seems that the new AOS web site doesn't sell orchid books anymore. It was handy to be able to order books through them, especially with the 10% discount. It was particularly good if you didn't have a title or author and could just browse by category or region. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Looks like the policy of a nursery just slapping a name on an orchid is much more widespread than I thought. Sure, we all know about Den. Emma White but boy.... for all these nice (and productive) vandas to have no real name is a pity. My eyes are open now and I'll be more aware when in the marketplace, but to tell you the truth if an orchid strikes my fancy and the orchid-heat rises I'm sure my wallet will soon follow, LOL! (Of course that only encourages the practice.) But what the hell. Western Civilization has already fallen, *G*.
