"Selling orchids from the top of the washing machine was the humble 
beginning for...
Willowbee Orchids... owned by Mark and Diana Lee... a Yanceyville nursery...

"We started selling the orchids around five years ago..." Diane said. 
"Mark's mother sold orchids in Raleigh, mainly buying and selling them, 
while we do more growing."

The Lees have only a few orchids left this season, as growing usually lasts 
from January to May...

the first season was difficult.
"... lost the first bunch, over 500 plants..." Diana said...

The greenhouse is powered by a wood stove...
the plants are watered once a week.
Orchid seedlings... are grown in indirect sunlight, morning sunlight, Diana 
said, is preferred.
"The woodstove is very economical..."  Diana said"
