When asked about name changes at society show table discussions, I just  tell 
'em that some taxonomic Phd. candidate needed a thesis topic, and don't  hold 
your breath before another thesis comes along to refute the previous  
one...smile!  By the way, I follow Braem and O'Byrne in all cases  taxonomic...

My frustration with name changes  is that I help discuss the 'Show and Tell' 
plants that society members bring  in each month.  They know these name 
changes occur and ask me questions,  which I feel responsible to know how to 
answer. 
 I suppose I could stand  there like a dumb bunny and shrug.  But that's not 
the answer members  deserve.
