“Pornhub” have published statistics on website use

"There’s also a breakdown by town of how many pages people view and how long
they stay on the site. West Sussex village Billingshurst appears to have
mastered the art of self-restraint most, with visits from that location
averaging eight minutes 41 seconds over 5.6 pages or videos. Ware, a town in
Hertfordshire with a population of 18,000, is the outlier on the other end of
the scale; there, people keep watching for ten minutes 37 seconds and view 7.6
pages or videos.”

Given it’s a free site, i.e. no billing records, I’m wondering how they’re
obtaining IP addresses at the village level. Public lookups of IP addresses
won’t get information at this resolution - and won’t be consistent at a village
level, so presumably they’re using cookie tracking.

Visiting the site, Ghostery lists DoublePimp, TrafficJunky, Google Analytics as
trackers.

(Other explanation, of course, is that the attribution of location is hand-wavy
nonsense and just a but of PR “fun”.)
