Hey ORG-ers,

I thought this would certainly be of interest to people; I came across this
project the other day called Tox. It's meant to be a secure,
encrypted-to-the-hilt, chat/audio/video protocol; there's a client called
Venom also in development for Windows, MacOS and Linux (Also some mobile
apps, the source is all on Github). http://tox.im/

I'm giving it a try now, the basic chat functionality is there but audio
and video and still works in progress. It's still got a long way to go to
being useable, but it'll be good in that, rather than being
complex-crypto-hash-dash-x1-delta-p-1337-hax0r super duper pain-in-the-arse
to use, it's being developed to be a simple install and use app, being
secure from peer to peer right out the box.

The main wiki is here: http://wiki.tox.im/Main_Page
Source is all on GitHub if you want to build it yourself or contribute;
there are some compiled binaries already available.

Personally, I'll be paying attention very closely. I think decentralisation
is going to be very important for reclaiming privacy on the internet.

What do you reckon?
