Hello,
I've been trying orientdb recently and am having an issue with the
transaction in the console. I downloaded and reinstalled to reproduce.
Here is the console log:
orientdb {db=GratefulDeadConcerts}> create class Tester
Class created successfully. Total classes in database now: 13
orientdb {db=GratefulDeadConcerts}> begin
Transaction 3 is running
orientdb {db=GratefulDeadConcerts tx=[0 entries]}> insert into Tester set
name = "Test"
Inserted record 'Tester#13:0{name:Test} v1' in 0.003000 sec(s).
orientdb {db=GratefulDeadConcerts tx=[0 entries]}> select from Tester

----+-----+----

orientdb {db=GratefulDeadConcerts tx=[0 entries]}> rollback

orientdb {db=GratefulDeadConcerts}>
As you can see the transaction is started but the insert isnt part of the
transaction.
