Hi All, We have since a while more than a few client(or driver) implementation of the Network-Binary-Protocol <http://www.orientechnologies.com/docs/last/orientdb.wiki/Network-Binary-Protocol.html> in many languages with people and companies working and investing on it, we like that and we want try to involve more this contributors:
Like many of you already know for the 2.0 we are introducing the new Binary Serialization <http://www.orientechnologies.com/docs/last/orientdb.wiki/Record-Schemaless-Binary-Serialization.html> and this is going to be used also in the binary protocol and some contributor is already starting to explore an implementation of this format in it's own client, but another change introduced is the possibility to make the client choose the serialization that it use, so we can support the old CSV <http://www.orientechnologies.com/docs/last/orientdb.wiki/Record-CSV-Serialization.html> serialization and also define a new serialization format only for the network. I would like to receive some feedback from the community and/or contributors, I'm aware that the new binary serialization is not so easy to implement, and will be subject of heavy optimization in future, that contributors may not have time to follow. So we may define a new format or use an existent library that can facilitate the client implementation or even use the old CSV. Please give your feedback here :) Bye Emanuel -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OrientDB" group.
