Hi guys, This email to keep you updated about next releases of OrientDB. Users reported OrientDB 2.0 is a very good release, but as always, some users reported few bugs we're fixing in 2.0.1 (hotfix).
Remember that we use Semantic Version (http://semver.org), so 2.0 could be upgraded to 2.0.1 (and further 2.0.x) with no break on API and Database. *What's next?* First, 2.1 will be a release with a short lifecycle. Our goal is to release 2.1 on February 2015. You can find it in "develop" branch. These are the main features of 2.1: - First version of *new SQL parser*. Will work with the current SQL engine resolving many issues with SQL syntax and prepared statements (sql injection too). In 3.0 we'll provide also the new SQL engine.. - Improvements on *DiskCache and WAL (Journal)*: half size on disk and double speed.
