I took the version orientdb-community-2.1-20150127.144608-13-distribution.tar.gz <https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/com/orientechnologies/orientdb-community/2.1-SNAPSHOT/orientdb-community-2.1-20150127.144608-13-distribution.tar.gz> and also set the system property as you said.
