In a previous thread Luigi Dell'Aquila inferred that the cluster portion of the RID is being extended to a "long". I would like to get him to clarify that. Currently size of the cluster portion of the RID is 2 bytes. Is the cluster portion going to be expanded to 4 bytes or to 8 bytes?
The reason for me to know is based on how I planned on using the RIDs. A 12-byte RID works for my planned usage but a 16-byte RID means I have to use another approach.
