Yes, I've read that (and lots of other stuff on edges, lightweight and 
regular). The question goes beyond that. Taken by itself, a single 
lightweight edge is (or should be) faster and more efficient than a single 
edge with a property, but what about multiple lightweight edges vs a single 
edge with a property? My example shows only two possible edge "types" 
(email and phone), but there could be many of these (i.e. skype, mobile, 
fax, etc.). Even if the multiple lightweight edges were better from a 
performance standpoint, this seems like it would get very difficult to 
manage.

PS - This was only an example. Frankly, I would probably handle this 
particular scenario (contact methods for a person) with embedded documents 
for each contact, so don't put too much into the details of the example, 
but rather the concept in general.
