Hi All ,
We are startup (big data realtime analytics analytics and AI ... )
planning to use orientdb (evaluated Titan , neo4j ,angro etc),
This is big decision for us as we will base our products around orientdb
,so naturally we bit anxious
couple of questions
1. Should we use orient sql or stick with gremlin ?
1. is there any performance bottleneck with gremlin ?
2. is gremlin fully supported as tinkertop specs (i guess list ,
map etc was not working when we tried )?
3. which tinkertop spec is supported 2 or 3 ?
2. Own light wieght java wrapper or use or own light wieght custom
wrapper
1. ferma (http://wiki.syncleus.com/index.php/Ferma)
2. frames
3. Totorom
3. Can orient handle few billion records with decent transversal time
(sub second to 2-3 sec)
1. We have 100k records , its already taking few sec to transverse ,
its better after adding index
2. Will performance go down with clustering ?
3. which index to add for maxium performance ?
1. Sb tree or hash
2. is there any impact on write performance if we add indexes
Thanks so much , for making a wonderful and open source product , sorry
for relatively long list above
