I'm wondering if OrientDB could work instead of couch. Note this is
technically a "serverless" application (there's a trend towards that).
Heres's the entirety of the JavaScript (other than the framework) for the
Angular app

dealing with a CouchDB on localhost:5984.
I'd ask on stackoverflow, but there's rules around vague open-ended
discussion-like threads.
