Luca, what is the hashing algorithm used to make/ check the root password? SHA256? SHA512? It seems SHA256. Just want to make sure....
Arul, when you know the hashing algorithm, it is best to create your own hash (with your own password) <https://defuse.ca/checksums.htm>. The autogeneration is only there to show you what you need to do within the orient-server-config.xml config file for your own password and so ODB will also even work (it breaks, without the user property in the file). I also think this could be better explained in the docs. :-) Let me know where this is best discussed in the docs Luca and I'll add it. Or, is there a section explaining this already (I couldn't find it)? :-) Scott -- --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OrientDB" group.
