I am glad there is an attempt to start selling diagrams digitally, but it only stands to prove why piracy exists. Five dollars for a single very simple penguin? Eight dollars for a single butterfly? Are you out of your mind? So when you publish your book of thirty models all being worth that you will charge us $150??? I would maybe try to pay that for a Lang book of his finest thirty models. You are out of touch and greedy.
I realize now this is more an argument akin to a religious morality debate where those totally apposed to stealing would never support robin hood. And I for one think greed is too mixed up in the middle of the debate. Many to argue on the moral side will stand there only because they then stand to profit. I want my favorite art form to be free from this. Origami actually helped me through tough times. I call it my zen because it taught me how to be more patient and enjoy the journey of something just as much, if not more than, the destination. Previously if the destination was a frustratedly crumpled piece of paper I was upset. Now I just enjoy the process. I didn't learn till I was an adult that I was actually learning healthy ways to deal with an anxiety disorder I did not know I had. If someone is stealing your work to go sell it then go after them.
