      It looks like you have a couple of very early Yoshizawa books.  I
can't tell from the covers what edition they are, but I can tell you the
basic data and the original publication dates.
     The first book, the one with the black and white cover, is called
"Atarashii Origami Geijutsu" ("New Origami Art" in English, and was first
published in 1954 by an organization called Origami Geijutsu.  It is 62
pages long.  Yours is volume 1, but in fact I can't see anything that looks
like a volume 2 in the National Diet Library catalogue.
     The second book, the one with the pink peacocks on the cover, is
called "Origami Dokuhon" ("Origami Reader" in English), by Akira Yoshizawa,
first published in 1957 by Rokuchi-sha.  It has 64 pages.  Shortly
afterwards, a second volume was published, after which this one became
"Origami Dokuhon I".  You can still get these two books, but yours is
probably a pretty rare first edition.
     I'm guessing, from the similarity in cover photos and number of pages,
that the contents are pretty much the same as the second book you're asking
about, and that this one morphed into the later book.  The first version
was probably an origami society pamphlet that was picked up and repackaged
by a more mainstream publisher.  But you can probably judge that better
than I by flipping through them both.
