Hi everyone on this list.

First off, this is my very first time using this mailing list, so I'm sorry
if I break any etiquette or anything like that. I just recently got a book
called "The Complete Book of Origami" by Robert J. Lang (ISBN-10:
0-486-25837-8). I've been working with origami since I was a kid in
elementary school, but I've had a fairly long hiatus until recently.

I really enjoy this book though I can say that it is definitely not the
easiest stuff I've seen, which is likely why I was drawn to it. The
Tarantula I am referring to can be located in this book on pages 97 to 103.
Specifically, the steps I really can't figure out are steps 21, and 26.

On step 21, my main confusion is due to the fact that I don't actually see
any way to tuck fold this section in. For whatever reason, although the
diagrams show that there are only a total of two layers (on each side), I
end up with three layers of different configurations. This layer that I'm
supposed to tuck fold ends up being a layer that has the long side already
tucked into the short side of the diamond. Tuck folding it again seems
impossible. I can sort of 'skip' this step, and just move on, which is how
I again get stuck, only this time at step 26.

On step 26, I have no idea where this tuck is supposed to end up! At this
point, there are something like 5 or 6 layers for the tip of these
diamonds, and being told to fold the top layer under is very unintuitive.

If anyone can help, that would be great. I can possibly send some pictures
if that would help (I'm sure it would), but I figure I'd just initially
send something out first to see if anyone had this same book and could
actually help me out. Here's to hoping. Thanks everyone in the meanwhile.
Happy folding.

Best regards
Justin
