Thus spake "Jorge Pardo" <[email protected]> on 5/7/13 3:30 AM:
> It is an honour for me to be guest of the OrigamiUSA convention. I am very > happy to attend this convention, I'm sure we'll have a good time. > > http://origamiusa.org/convention2013 And registration for OrigamiUSA's Convention is now open! Our Special Guests will be Jorge Pardo from Spain (as you see above) and, well, one more to be announced Real Soon Now. As I've mentioned earlier, we've got some new goodies in store for this year: in particular, Convention Class Preview pages, where you'll be able to see all proposed classes just as soon as they've been submitted. (And remember: they're only proposed; no guarantees till the final schedule is set.) And there will be an online pictorial Model Menu available at convention. (via WiFi at FIT!) People are already registering and submitting, so you can see some of what's coming here: http://origamiusa.org/convention2013_preview_sat_sun http://origamiusa.org/convention2013_preview_mon (Let me encourage folks to include pictures, even if they're just phone-snaps; it's great to see what the thing is being taught.) You may know that for class ticketing, all registrations within the first week are lotteried together for priority numbers. So you've got a few days to get into the first tranche. But do register! And tell us all what cool thing you're going to teach. (And on the subject of low ticketing numbers, the sure-fire way of getting a low class number is to volunteer! Volunteering makes convention possible, gets you the classes you want; what's not to like?) See you in June! Robert
