Here's an addition to the discussion about toilet paper origami. The
origami club at Tokyo University has put out a number of publications of
designs by the members, and one of these is a volume of toilet paper
origami designs. It came out several years ago, but is still available.
You can see it at their site here (http://orist.tiyogami.com/) by clicking
on the publications heading and selecting the bottom entry, or you can go
straight to the Japanese Amazon listing for it:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/トイレットペーパーおりがみ-講談社の実用BOOK-折紙サークルOrist/dp/4062997304
/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1377665775&sr=1-1&keywords=トイレットペーパー
You can get an idea of the contents by clicking on the tiny photos
under the cover image. I also believe you can order books from this store
and have them shipped overseas, though I'm afraid I don't recall how it's
done.
In any case, it's clear the students at Tokyo University have spent a
lot of time sitting around thinking this stuff up, and I'm betting the club
building's washrooms are well worth a visit!
