During an episode of BBC's show "QI" (Quite Interesting), aired on Monday (Sept. 9th) in Edinburgh, Scotland, host Stephen Fry, challenged all four members of the panel to fold various paper airplanes & launch their folded models. Two glided, while the others crashed on launch. The segment discussed how a 3-inch paper cylinder stayed afloat longer than a paper airplane if launched in a twisting motion, as when an American football is passed. Apparently, the claim was based on a recent article, the reference of which I did not catch. Did anyone in the UK see the broadcast or is familiar with the referenced article?
Thanks, Belle
