I want to log my vote to keep this list alive forever. It might be quiet a lot of the time, but if someone is bored, why not start a topic of interest? I really, really like that it is moderated, and thereby controlled, for content that does not add value. I have no problem with the request to put the pertinent background at the top and then the response/additions below. ----- I *love* the O-list. I've been a member since 2001, with only one break for two years or so when I was totally buried with work and other concerns and didn't want the distraction of all the emails piling up and having to be deleted (yeah, gmail does make that easier). But I have learned *so much* from the people on this list, and the origami community has been made accessible to me and greatly enriched my life, in many ways (I was a lone folder for nearly 40 years before I discovered the O-list and then OUSA). Thank you, all! ----- So, to make this post more worthwhile: I will be teaching Hans-Werner Guths Eifel Star at PCOC. I will bring nice patterned paper to make the regular circular patterns. I will (probably) also be teaching Arthur C Andersons Flapping Bird and I may combine that class with a look at all six of the Flapping Birds that I know of, just for extra fun. .....
