I have some additional info on this roadrunner. I had the pleasure of learning the model in a class at PCOC yesterday. The model was designed by Beth Johnson who taught the class. It is also in the PCOC 2013 Convention book which we have up for sale on the OrigamiUSA site, along with a batch of other Southwestern themed models. Beth Johnson does a lot of models based on Tessellation patterns and when I looked at the roadrunner tail it seemed to fit that style. It does start from a grid, but is based more on a hyperbolic paraboloid than a Tessellation. Janet
