Dear friends,

I'd like to ask you all what would be your answer to a person who is
new to origami and asks "what's the best paper for origami"

The answer might as easy as "depending on what you intent to fold, all
papers are potentially good to use for origami". But I'd like to have
some input from you all, expert folders, as to how would you elaborate
on that answer without having to extend yourself too much, and without
saying "use kami paper" (kami paper is not universally available)

What would be the characteristics of a paper that can be considered
universally good for origami.

All your thoughts are welcome!

Thank you,

Leyla
