Hi All,
Back in 90's When I was a child and I was living with my parents in Japan,
a very exciting Origami Contest Broadcasted in TV. My parents recorded the
program on a VHS tape and I do remember watching that several times later
when we came back to Iran. It's probably more than 5 years since last time
I watched it so I do have a very fade memory about it. last couple of
months I was looking for that tape and I couldn't find it, Perhaps we have
lost the tape.

A quick search on the internet turned out that the program was a contest
from "TV Champion" Show and they had some other Origami contests
afterwards. The only information I found about the the contest I was
looking for, was the below piece from Joseph Wu's Origami Page:

"Joseph Wu has reported seeing the second Origami championship broadcast by
> TV Tokyo in September 1996. The were five contestants and the competition
> started with an event that tested the contestants ability to think quickly
> and fold quickly. A syllable was chosen at the beginning, and the first
> person had five minutes to folding something that started with the
> syllable. The next person had to make something starting with the last
> syllable of the object folded by the previous person. The next event was to
> fold a life sized ant based on a live subject. The next event called for
> the contestants to build a unit Origami Tower of two metres that could
> stand for five seconds. The final event was to make a diarama based on one
> large model folded from a 5 metre square. The winner of this TV
> championship Origami contest was HOJYO Takashi."

Does any other member here know how and where can I find the show? I also
tried to contact tv-tokyo/Terebi-champion through their website but I
couldn't find the contact section.

Any other piece of information regarding that show, Including Other members
or perhaps photos are also appreciated!

With all the best,

- Ali
