Dear Fellow Folders,
I am delighted to announce a new exhibition titled *Surface to Structure: Folded Forms *taking place this summer, June 19 - July 4, at *The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art*. In 1959, this same Cooper Union hosted an exhibition,* Plane Geometry and Fancy Figures,* with many contributions from Lillian Oppenheimer, that was the first showcase of works by Akira Yoshizawa in the United States. The exhibition also featured works by Robert Harbin, Robert Neal, Ligia Montoya, and other notable artists. *Surface to Structure *will bring origami back to The Cooper Union for the first time in 55 years after the first seminal exhibition. Artwork submissions are now open. I invite you all come and see this exhibition, which will be free and open to the public. For more information, please visit surfacetostructure.comwhich will be updated as details of the exhibition develop. Sincerely, Uyen Nguyen (The Cooper Union) Curator Co-Advisors: Sok Song (Creased, Inc.) Patsy Wang-Iverson (Vice President for Special Projects, Gabriella & Paul Rosenbaum Foundation)
