Hello Fellow Folders!

You may have heard last week about the upcoming origami exhibition at The
Cooper Union which we are organizing. It is titled Surface to Structure:
Folded Forms, and more information can be found on our website,
surfacetostructure.com

We are paying homage to the first origami exhibition in the United States,
which was in 1959, organized in part by Lillian Oppenheimer, at The Cooper
Union, also where the upcoming exhibition will take place.

We wish to display origami folded by the artists featured in that 1959
exhibition. We are reaching out to the origami community in search of
archival works by the artists listed below.

Akira Yoshizawa
Giuseppe Baggi
Martin Gardner
Ernst Hacker
Ligia Montoya
Robert Neale
Robert Harbin
Samuel L. Randlett
George Rhoads
Jack Skillman
Miguel De Unamuno

If you are willing to loan works by the listed artists please email
[email protected]
Your participation will be deeply appreciated.

Many Thanks

Uyen Nguyen (The Cooper Union)
Curator
