Dear all,

my very pregnant self is happy to announce that the next instructional
video is up. This time round I'm showing how to fold the fantastic model
"Mother and Child" by Stephen Weiss.

I think it's an especially fitting model for this months for two reasons:
First, in all likelihood, I'll give birth to my second child this May. And
second, in many parts of the world, Mother's Day is in May.

So I hope you'll enjoy this video and fold. Thanks, of course, to Stephen
Weiss, for a very enjoyable model and his permission to make a video on how
to fold it available to you. For those diagram lovers out there, Anibal
Voyer drew some and they are published in "Origami 2000: The Annual
Collection" by OrigamiUSA. It's sometimes hard to get a hold of older
publications, but OrigamiUSA now offers pdf versions of their publications.
I think it's great they're offering these, as there are many gems hidden in
their collections. You can buy a pdf version of the 2000 collection at
https://origamiusa.org/catalog/products/2000-annual-collection-pdf - and if
you are an OrigamiUSA member you even get a huge 50% discount (5 USD
instead of 10USD). Plus, once you've bought the copy, you can immediately
download it and start folding. There's a temptation for you that you
shouldn't resist!

And a final side note: in my last email I mentioned I'd be uploading some
videos celebrating a new milestone of my origami project. One of the videos
might be of interest to you. I did a "draw my life" video, narrating how
origami entered my life and how my project has developed since. You can
view the video at http://youtu.be/jRukVtCIxVo or

Best wishes and happy folding,
