I think that's how many people create! It starts off as 'I'll use such-and-such a technique, but I'll modify it a bit to do this instead'. Eventually it's a whole new thing! It's almost evolutionary. I've never heard of a specific name for it, but that doesn't mean there isn't one! Me, I call it 'Magpie' creation because I take all the 'shiny' bits from other places ;-) Dennis
