Seth, Assuming this is a "what could go wrong" question, I'd say make sure it's labeled and not mixed with any illicit substances :)
Methyl cellulose is used in a large number of consumer products both as a solid and in solution, and these never seem to cause an issue. Plus, it's in nice papers, which have never caused me a problem. Thanks, Steph Schulze
