Hi Everyone,

(Please excuse any cross-postings)

This is a reminder that the Israeli Origami Center will be holding its 7th
International Origami convention, 18-20 December, this year in a
purpose-built conference center in the forested hills west of Jerusalem.
Our honoured guests are Prof Jun Mitani and Herman Mariano.

We are currently re-vamping our site, so a booking form is available only in
Hebrew, not, as yet, in English. Any English-speakers wishing to come
should please contact us by email and we will forward booking and
accommodation details to you. Overseas visitors do not pay a convention
fee.

On 21st December, Prof Mitani will participate in an 'Origami and Math' day
in the Tel Aviv area, with 120 math teachers from Elementary Schools
throughout Israel, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of
Education. On the 23rd, he will give two presentations in the Tel Aviv area
at 2 Universities, on the relationship between his work and
design/engineering. Overseas visitors are welcome to attend all these
events, without charge.

Bethlehem is open to Christian pilgrims over Christmas and is, of course, a
visit is not-to-be-missed. This year, the Jewish festival of Chanukah falls
at the same time. If you ever needed a reason to visit Israel, this has to
be the perfect time! :-)

We are happy to answer questions and look forward to welcoming you to our
7th convention.

If you know someone off-list who may wish to come, please consider
forwarding this email to them. Thank you.

Best wishes

Paul Jackson, Miri Golan and the convention team Israeli Origami Center 'The
Home of Origami in Israel since 1993'.
