Forwarding for Yahoo user [email protected]: I have been asked to teach origami under some unique circumstances. It HAS TO be simple! First, they want a shoe of some type, which would probably be a variation of the traditional Japanese slipper. Second, they want an ornament of some type. Here are the circumstances: Models will be folded OUTSIDE in late NOVEMBER in the Midwest. (!!!) We will have a canopy, the sides of which MAY be pulled down, and we MAY have heaters. The participants will be kids, with an average age of 7 years old. The total number of kids is unknown as this will be a festival. I'm told "about 200 kids made gingerbread houses last year, so there may be 150 to 200 kids passing through." All kids are expected to make both items (a shoe and an ornament) within 3 1/2 hours. There will be volunteers I can teach the models to so they can help.
Can anyone recommend models (with sources or links), or a helpful process or procedure? Or should I just run away? Does this sound too ambitious? Thanks in advance for any help! Dawn Tucker, O'Fallon, MO
