Karen cc: Renee Fertig ====== Hi, New Jersey area folders! 11/6/2014 I just got a request for an origami volunteer teacher for a short session at a branch library in West Long Branch, on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 17, 2014, 4-5pm The librarian, Renee Fertig, is just taking over as the branch's program organizer and wants to start off with a winner -- so she thought of origami! Laura Kruskal and I have done programs for Renee before at other branch libraries. We'd happily volunteer again, but I'm dealing with some medical problems that make it hard to schedule stuff. Can anyone help out, please? No pay, just sheer love of introducing origami to a bunch of beginners. I'm assuming elementary school age kids. I'm not sure what kind of paper (or room) they can provide. Since it's holiday time, a couple of simple non-sectarian ornaments, candles, or chains would be good bets as models.
