Another question would be flat or 3-D??
All work and are used.
I am a member of an ATC origami group here in the US. There are "themes"
such as "Food" or "Movies" including a once-a-year "No theme" exchange
but the details are up to the origami ATC artist. We also exchange
emails to discuss techniques, inspiration, paper, source of diagrams, etc.
An upcoming theme is "pop-ups."
Fun to create and intriguing to receive the ATC from other folders.
