Megan asked for suggestions on starting a local folding group. We have had great results from using meetup.com to help people find us. It is not free, but very inexpensive. As soon as you have selected a location and schedule, sign up on meetup and post your upcoming meetings. Be sure to stress that beginners are welcome, all ages are welcome etc.
