This page:

  https://origamiusa.org/convention2015_ataglance

gives a good schedule-based overview of what an OrigamiUSA convention is
usually like. It describes the New York, NY convention; PCOC has a slightly
different schedule (and, obviously, location) with the seminars/workshops
being taught on Friday rather than the Monday after the convention weekend,
but the flavor is the same.

The bottom line is that in between the physical necessities of sleep and
food, there's all the informal group folding you could ask for in the
"hospitality" area (a big room, with lots of big tables where people hang
out together, teaching, chatting, and folding, folding, folding) and
scheduled classes all day Fri/Sat/Sun (you have to get tickets for those
via each morning's ticketing process.) You can also shop for books and
paper, bid on cool origami-related stuff in the auction, be amazed by the
exhibited works, meet a few of your favorite authors (every one I've ever
met has been happy to sign books)... it's hard to remember to go back to
your room and sleep occasionally. Origami-folk seem to like to eat, though,
I've never had trouble finding a gang heading out for a meal.

I hope that helps a bit, and that others will chime in with more
suggestions!

Anne
