Significant work on this subject was done by Ronald D. Resch who secured
several patents as under:

August 1965 - 3,201,894 - Geometrical device having articulated relatively
movable sections

October 1968 - 3,407,558 - Self Supporting structural unit having a series
of repetitious geometrical modules

November 1977 - 4,059,932 - Self Supporting structural unit having a three
dimensional surface

Any research on similar subjects should review this body of work details of
which can be had via the US Patents Office.
