Seth, Since humidty is one of the culprits for paper to lose its shape and models to "self-unfold" then managing the humidity of your new studio space is another practical step to address. My son just told me of his success doing this in the basement of his home where he and his wife have their offices. (both writers)
They are using a unit they got off of Amazon: Frigidaire FAD704DWD Energy Star 70-pint Dehumidifier or the newer model: Frigidaire FFAD7033R1 Energy Star Dehumidifier with Effortless Humidity Control, 70 pint He could not say enough great things about its success and I noticed that the model has an option for continual running if there is access to a drain.(no manually emptying the water collected in the unit) I am looking to get one for my studio (also in a basement) to better manage the moisture for my books, paper and supplies. Good luck preserving your wonderful models. All the Best, -McPHEE...
