Hi, Gerardo,

It seems to me that any non-waterproof paper being used for soft drinks will 
not last long at all due to soft drinks being very acidic (pH = 2.5 or so.) [I 
worked in a quality control lab for a brand name soft drink a number of years 
ago and we routinely tested its pH.] It might work much better to use old 
fashioned waxed paper. It is intended for use with food and is therefore 
sanitary, and if you make sure your hands are clean while cutting and handling 
it, there should be no problem with it being sanitary or with health issues.
